WHO: ‘Premature And Unrealistic’ To Think Pandemic Will End This Year | NBC News NOW

Officials at the World Health Organization say it’s “unrealistic” to expect the Covid-19 pandemic to end in 2021, but hospitalizations and deaths can be significantly reduced if the vaccine rollout is successful. The W.H.O.’s director general also admonished rich countries for prioritizing young and healthy people for vaccination, while poor countries struggle to get enough doses.
