A landslide that hit the village of Ask in Norway left 10 people injured, homes destroyed and several people missing.
Police were alerted to the slide at about 4 a.m. Wednesday morning, with it cutting across a road, leaving a deep ravine. Some homes were heavily damaged with one even falling into the ravine.
According to police, it’s not known if the people unaccounted for are in the area of the landslide, are away on holiday or are unable to reach authorities. Prime Minister Erna Solberg said the situation was unstable and helicopters were the only means of rescue.
