Italy’s Mount Etna filled the sky with smoke and ash on Tuesday, after Europe’s highest and most active volcano erupted. Stunning videos and photos from towns in Sicily showed a huge bloom of orange smoke spreading across the sky.
The active volcano can burst into spectacular action several times a year, spewing lava and ash high over the Mediterranean island.
