Dr. Fauci warns of ‘surge upon surge’ of COVID-19 in U.S. in coming weeks

미 연말 ‘코로나 설상가상 대유행’ 경고…"급증 위에 또 급증"

Top U.S. infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci has warned that Americans should brace for a "surge upon a surge" of COVID-19 infections following the recent Thanksgiving holiday.
Speaking to CNN on Sunday,… Fauci says there will "almost certainly" be a resurgence in virus cases due to the high volume of traveling done during Thanksgiving.
He added that the uptick in cases will be seen in two or three weeks.
With over 90-thousand patients hospitalized,… the U.S. has so far seen over 13-point-2 million infections and at least 266-thousand deaths.
Latest data shows that about 20-percent of all people in the hospital in the U.S. have COVID-19.
