Coronavirus: Trudeau, federal ministers provide update on Canada’s COVID-19 response | LIVE

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau along with federal ministers are giving an update on the government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic Tuesday morning.

Another 6,453 new cases of the novel coronavirus were reported across Canada on Monday, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 715,072.

Health officials also confirmed another 92 people have died after testing positive for COVID-19, bringing the total death toll to 18,120.

In a series of tweets on Monday, Canada’s Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Theresa Tam said with high levels of “disease activity in many areas,” Canada remains “on the path of continuing resurgence.”
