Quebec Premier François Legault, alongside other provincial health officials, is expected to deliver an update on the province’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic on Tuesday.
Quebec has become the first Canadian province to record more than 10,000 deaths from COVID-19 after the province reported 32 more deaths attributed to the virus on Sunday. On Monday, the province reported an additional 17 deaths, bringing the total to 10,046.
The province on Monday also recorded another 853 new COVID-19 cases, for a total of 270,911 infections since the pandemic began. Hospitalizations increased by six from Sunday to 969.
