Coronavirus: Concerns grow over COVID-19 variants spreading in Canada

Concerns are growing in Canada over the spread of variants of COVID-19, with preliminary data showing a variant has reached a care home in Ontario, where at least 25 residents have died.

Some of the variants, including one first detected in the U.K., are proving to be more contagious.

While some provinces are seeing decreases in their average case rates, the concern is a variant could re-inflate those numbers. Eric Sorensen reports.
