Coronavirus: Canadian kids under 16 likely won’t be vaccinated until 2022

The three vaccines that have been approved by Health Canada are only cleared to be administered to adults.

Some clinical trials are already underway to determine whether those vaccines will be safe for children. However, it will take time before we get the results of those trials.

Heather Yourex-West explains why vaccine approval for younger Canadians is taking so long, and how it will impact herd immunity.
