Officials with the Canadian government are expected to provide an update Thursday on the country’s COVID-19 vaccine rollout strategy.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has promised that every Canadian who wants to be inoculated against COVID-19 will be able to do so by September 2021, despite delivery delays from both Pfizer and Moderna.
Across Canada, 3,239 new cases of the novel coronavirus were detected on Wednesday, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 814,041. Provincial health authorities have also confirmed 95 more people have died after testing positive for COVID-19.
