The British Columbia provincial government on Friday extended the current COVID-19 health orders banning social gatherings and events in the province until further notice.
The current restrictions do not have an end date, and will allow provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry to either add additional restrictions or amend the existing ones.
The focus for Henry will shift to what is being described as ‘VVO’ – variants, vaccines, and outbreaks.
The doctor also revealed coronavirus modelling data, showing the province is starting to flatten its curve of positive COVID-19 cases.
Health Minister Adrian Dix also joined Henry for the briefing.
