Capitol riot: Police officials testify as Senate holds hearing on security breaches | LIVE

The U.S. Senate is holding a hearing on Tuesday to examine the security measures that failed to fortify the United States Capitol during the deadly riot on Jan. 6.

Lawmakers will question the officials in charge the day the Trump supporter-led mob overran the Capitol building as members of the House and Senate were inside.

The former chief of the U.S. Capitol Police chief and two top security officials will testify before the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs and Senate Committee on Rules and Administration.

The hearing begins at 10am ET.
