Government of Canada officials are expected to provide a COVID-19 update on Thursday as cases rise across the country.
The Alberta government introduced a wide range of new public health measures on Wednesday night in an attempt to prevent COVID-19 cases from overwhelming the province’s health-care system but also noted that fully vaccinated citizens might be exempt from some of the rules.
Just days into the new school year, COVID-19 outbreaks have closed schools across Canada – prompting concerns about how the rest of the school year will proceed.
In addition, New Brunswick is seeing a spike in COVID-19 activity, with a “significant number” of cases among schoolchildren, according to the province’s top doctor.
